Marketing Week - Olympia 29-30 June , 2011

The Inspirational Marketing Event
or how I like to call it a place where you can mingle and most of all network with Marketing people

Interacting with ladies on stilts guiding you to their stands

Below the sequence of what I call a great way to promote the  Martini brand

                        2 cl Martini Rosso

1 cl whiskey
3 dashes Angostura Bitter
2 cl Martini Rosso

View from an angle....

More stands demonstrating what they can produce...

Award winning P.O.P

Vitrine

Void of colour

View from the second floor...

Lots of interesting conferences and seminars were offered throughout the day

Please do contact these people when in need of a logo pen...they have some amazing pens that will cater to the need of your client

Promotional Merchandise: such as an ice-cream cone
delivers results!

with blue syrup (it was bubble gum flavour)

Russ: Have your slogan or logo printed on a teddy bear

Or a mug...

Interesting approach of getting my attention as I passed by this stand....

This guy asked me to write down on a "post it" how many "post -its" I believed were posted on the wall
My guess was 500, he answered: "Not a bad guess" and I was then entered to win an iPad 2....still today I do not know how many they had posted and assume I did not win as they did not contact me:(

View from the second floor to where you sat down to hear one of the many conferences going on.
I loved how it looked and wanted to share with you all.

Now this is the view of the stage...

The data Marketing show...

Cool interactive AD as you can stand behind and be projected...

Will certainly go again next year as you can establish good contacts that can assist you in your future projects.
A must for all the Marketing people out there!

The 125th Championship Wimbledon 2011

Wimbledon 2011
Always wanted to be here during the tennis tournament and I finally made it!
I used to be a tennis player when I was much younger than today (not in a professional level as I would have loved to) but at least I was able to hit some balls or maybe more than some...

I must admit that from the Southfields tube station it's a loooong walk t the Wimbledon that builds up excitement until you arrive to...

Andre Agassi's quote:

Security inside the centre court

Large screens that allow people on the grounds get a close-up of the game ...

and players...

View from the other side of the large screen...where all gents and ladies are having a picnic and watching the game...the ambiance is just so tennis-amazing

The cheering crowds you can find while walking around the grounds...

The longest match ever played on court # 18 June 2010
John Isner (USA) beat Nicolas Mahut (France)
Match duration was 11 hours and 5 minutes

Interviews were held in every single spot

The place to spot some celebrities...

Billboards with the game score updates

Tennis player...

Champagne stand

Hope to make it next year to the finals...until then Wimbledon xx

Juan Luis Guerra y 440 @ Hammersmith Apollo

Juan Luis Guerra y 440 in London - June 22, 2011

Juan Luis Guerra

Juan Luis Guerra, Dominican musician, I danced to the music and songs of his merengues and bachatas  non-stop when I was 15 years old is coming to the UK .

Presented by

Juan Luis Guerra – one of biggest and most enduring stars of Latin music for the past quarter of a century.  JLG, with his band 4.40, has sold 30 million albums worldwide, won 2 Grammy awards and 15 Latin Grammys and of all the biggest stars of Latin music he is the only one who never had appeared with his show in the UK.

So, my iPhone and me were happy to dance again to his tunes at the Hammersmith Apollo for over a little more than 2 hours.

The concert was much more than what I expected ;) Dancing the night away and remembering the cheerfulness of his songs and the Latin people that were there that night. Just like me "dancing like there will be no tomorrow"...

A little video of him live

I had the opportunity to get a VIP pass to see him backstage right after his concert...

The passes that allowed me to enter...

His backstage room the before and after place after the concert...

Meanwhile my iPhone and I were waiting for Juan Luis Guerra...I decided to take a few shots so I could show all of you...
the table with some snacks to nibble on....

Very important and for those of you that know him will know that the picture below is one of the main characteristics of Juan Luis Guerra's, while on stage, wardrobe it's the: Vest

At last he arrives and the few people that were there, plus my buddy, my iPhone and me congratulated him for such an amazing performance...

Juan Luis Guerra and I...
Pity that the other picture where Juan Luis Guerra was smiling I (like most of the times) have my eyes closed ;(

My school buddy and Juan Luis Guerra

A lovely great night where it seemed like old times!
Muchas gracias Juan Luis Guerra y 440 xxx
