The Thames Festival September 11,2011

The annual Thames Festival which takes place between Westminster Bridge and Tower Bridge is a must as there are plenty of things to see, do, learn, eat in the many food stalls, and meet people all around the globe on and  alongside the Thames
My iPhone and I were there on Sunday September 11 a very important day to be remembered and remember the tragedy that the Americans and all went through.
I started my tour close to the Scoop (next to Tower Bridge) on th nice sunny day

nice sculpture

the food stalls...

very happy to see David one of the Arancini Brothers serving their amazing now renamed Risotto Balls
They are out of this world or as I like to describe them an explosion of flavours inside a wrap
crisps apples blend in perfectly with their risotto balls and special sauce and then the crispy fried onions kick in...mmmm

Chocolate fondue stand...fancy white or dark?

or milk chocolate?

after choosing what to eat and/or drink nothing like sitting on the grass and enjoying it all...

next to the food stands a petting farm

plenty entertainment for kids...

even a disco shed for them...

puppet shows...

Fancy a paddle?

he went for the how fast can you paddle 200 m challenge...

a band playing....

the crowd listening...

walking around met Michael Mainelli - Lady Daphne one of the most famous London's classic wooden vessels still sailing on the Thames...
I was one of the many unlucky to not make it through the 2 hour journey as I did not reserve on time
will for sure do it next year...
