The Taste of Spain 2011 event in Regent Street, on Sunday 5 June, was a great way to experience the Spanish culture.
Regent Street was traffic-free...
Many Londoners, like myself, as well as Spanish people could be seen walking through Regent Street, including the rain was the main guest! Still we all enjoyed a taste of Spain
With live performances...
The dancing horses from the Balearics
Giant paella from Valencia
A paella for about 1200 people...the queue was so massive I was not able to try it :(
Restaurants and bars served Spanish influenced dishes some offered free Sangria ;)
Spanish regions from as far north as Aragón...
Attendants were able to sample Jamon Serrano mmm...
to Andalucía in the south
Zaragoza
Navarra was present as well....
Samples of Navarra cheese and chorizo...
Ibiza with a "feel like" you are on the beach relaxing on bean bags on real sand
The sun was not invited and it would have been an amazing addition...
Mallorca was there to allow gents & ladies to surf on spot...
Sports also played an important part of the day, with Basket Ball, Motorsports, Golf, Tennis and Football all featuring, with interactive sports challenges
Tennis...
Fancy playing tennis on Regent Street?
or Golf?
Mini putt
A taste of motor sport...
Polaroid picture to be taken...
Football...the World Cup
Football uniforms
Football representatives
Passport where you pasted all the Polaroid pictures that were taken on spot for a nice souvenir
Stand of Churros and Chocolate scented Regent Street with a sweet aroma...
Served from a bus...
Flamenco lady
Beer was part of the complimentary samples...
A view of Regent Street...

Nice t-shirt souvenir...
